Do CTP rehabilitation providers need a SIRA provider number?
SIRA advises that rehabilitation providers do not need a SIRA provider number to deliver treatment services in the NSW CTP scheme. Insurer approval is still required before services commence. This CTP role is separate from approval as a workers compensation workplace rehabilitation provider.

Is CTP rehab the same as physiotherapy?
No. Physiotherapy may be one part of treatment. CTP rehabilitation has a broader coordination role, helping connect approved treatment, functional goals, daily activities and communication across the recovery team.
Can I ask for COH Rehab to support my recovery?
Yes. You can nominate COH Rehab or ask your insurer, doctor or treating practitioner to send a referral. The insurer still needs to approve the funded service and proposed scope before it commences.
Does COH Rehab only accept insurer referrals?
No. Insurers commonly initiate rehabilitation referrals, but injured people, families, doctors and treating providers can also contact us so we can help clarify the appropriate referral pathway.
